Combined Heat & Power (COGEN/CHP)
Conventional power plants emit heat as a byproduct of creating electricity. This heat is wasted energy. Combined Heat & Power (CHP) captures this wasted energy and uses it to supply steam or hot water to the building. By capturing the excess heat, CHP is able to provide power that’s nearly twice as efficient as conventional means.
BENEFITS
- Reduce energy costs by improving efficiency, reliability and security
- Reduce thermal and electrical costs
- Eliminate power voltage sags and surges
- Environmentally friendly
